Spice mobiles has launched a smartphone dubbed as Spice Coolpad MI 515 priced at RS. 9,900. This device is the first roll out after tie-up with Coolpad which is a international handset player.

According to the manufacturer, the DTS enabled smartphone has sold over 1 million units globally.

As for the specifications, it sports a 5 inch IPS display  and  1.2 GHz Quad Core processor paired to 1GB RAM memory. The smartphone runs on Android Jelly Bean.

The device has on-board storage of 4GB and expansion up to 32 GB through a micro SD card is possible.

The Spice Coolpad has 2000mAh Li-ion-Polymer battery supporting its actions.

For connectivity, it has 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 and microSD slot. The phone has dual sim functionality (3G + 2G).

Other features include Proximity sensor, G-sensor, Light sensor, Media player, 3G Video calling and GPS/AGPS/GMS among others.

Speaking about the launch Dilip Modi, COO & Co-Founder Spice Group said, “With this new product, Spice has broken the price barrier and has made Quad Core smartphones affordable for the consumer wanting superlative Internet access on the move.”.
