Samsung at an event held in New York on Thursday 14th March, unveiled it’s latest and yet to launch model Galaxy SIV. The phone is expected to roll out in the market by end of April the following month, as for the pricing details – Samsung hasn’t disclosed any information.

The new Galaxy SIV is the next in line flagship smartphone for Samsung, being a lead contender it would directly take on Apple iPhone5, Blackberry Z10, Sony Xperia Z and other ace models once it is out in the market.

The phone is powered by latest version of Android Jelly Bean operating system and is made lot sleeker at 7.9mm thick weighing 130gm against the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is 8.6mm thick and 133gm of weight.

As for the India launch there aren’t any updates to share, but it is releasing under the tagline of “Life Companion”. As usual, the price would differ from country to country. A wild guess should fall anywhere between RS. 38,000 to 42,000 considering the Note that is selling at RS 35,000 and Galaxy S3 at RS 28,000.

The 5inch AMOLED display at 441ppi per inch and latest Android 4.2.2 version give it a upper hand. The phone is expected to come with a 1.9-GHz quad-core processor or a 1.6-GHz octa-core processor depending on the market.

The Galaxy S4 gets a 13 mega pixel camera in the rear with the front fitted with 2 mega pixel and a 2600 mAh battery for better performance. The phone will come in three variants into the market namely 16GB, 34GB and 64GB.

The outstanding features that would woo customers include translation capabilities, eye-tracking and gesture controls. Many functions can be operated by eye control and without touching of the device.
