Phablet smartphones have been sale spiking in the recent years globally and Samsung is quick to grab its share by launching wallet-friendly big screens.

The legacy of successful Galaxy Grand Duos will be continued with Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 as the latest model is launching with quite a bigger 720 HD display screen.

Apart from this, the phone has faster processor, more RAM and good battery compared to the predecessor.

The phone will have dual-SIM compatibility and run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. No words have come out from company sources in-regards to update of latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS on the device.

The Galaxy Grand 2 has 5.25-inch HD screen with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM.

The smartphone has 8GB internal storage space that can be further expanded up to 64GB microSD card support.

The back of the device adorns a 8MP camera with auto focus and LED flash, the front is fitted with a 1.9MP to support selfies.

A whopping 2600 mAh battery to support longer run time has been included in the phone. According to Samsung claims it would support talk time of 17 hours.

The phablet phone has 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 as connectivity options.

It will compete Sony Xperia C, LG G Pro Lite and Micromax Canvas Turbo in the Indian market. The pricing details of the phone aren’t available yet.
