Samsung Chromebooks – A Brief Overview

Dec 15, 12 Samsung Chromebooks – A Brief Overview

Until now, Chromebooks have not been able to perform like the low-end laptops or the tablets due to some setbacks. Google has now introduced a brand new model sporting an ultra-thin design,  at a very low cost, it is integrated with an ARM processor – a Samsung Exynos 5 Dual-Core 1.7Ghz CPU! This chip has resulted in low manufacturing costs and power consumption and efficient heat dissipation.

Looking at the features, the 11.6” screen has a resolution of 1366×768. A breather is the chiclet style keyboard that is very much different from the cramped netbooks that come for this price. This keyboard is actually roomy, comfortable to type on, and responsive. A battery span of six hours has been claimed by the manufacturer, and this has been found to be so while testing the device.

As for the software, the Chrome store has a huge selection to offer such as Dropbox, Skydrive, Angry birds, TweetDeck, Evernote, and others which come for free!
A few Apps can be run offline in this Chromebook allowing you to stay productive even as you travel in the plane or train where there is no WiFi connection. File Manager is an option allowing you to search what you have stored locally and in your USB drives that you plug in and also allows you to move files between them.

The main selling point in this Chromebook is the online nature of the device. Files get automatically updated and stored in Cloud – you will never have to save anything.

So try this Chromebook – this time around it is different offering users a wholly new experience than what it was before!
