Samsung ATIVS Smart PC – An Overview
In the Apple dominated online space, the key role of Samsung ATIVS launch is to bridge the gap between notebooks and the tablets. By doing so, Samsung aims to grab its market share and break the monopoly that Apple had been enjoying all these years.
The ATIVS Smart PC model uses Clover Trail chip and is packed with Dual Core that clocks 1.8GHz. The 4,080 mAh battery is capable of providing solid power backup up to seven hours according to the manufacturer. The ATIVS 500T runs all the programs with the help of all new Microsoft’s OS – Windows 8.

Looking at the external design it appears to be a sturdy make, unlike the Surface tabs the keyboard is automatically shipped along with the device. Buying it on a later date or from other places is ruled out by this. The detachable tab can fully function like a laptop when connected with its keyboard.
The dock is located at the bottom of the device and on to the left-hand side is the volume control and mini HDMI located. The top of the device is quiet populated; it consists of SD Card slots, the USB 2 port, power button and on-off button for physical rotation.
The Samsung ATIVS weighs less and is wider at 11.6inch. The display resolution at 1366 x 768 is clear and bright with perfect matched colour saturation levels. The Windows 8 offers wide range of file compatibility and format support. Going by this, the x86 based devices are in way superior to the Windows RT based tabs.
