Mar 14, 13 Nokia Lumia 920 Vs Sony Xperia Z Vs Blackberry Z10

The competition between Nokia Lumia 920, Sony Xperia Z and Blackberry Z10 is running neck to neck in the Indian smartphone market. All the three devices launched recently in the sub-continent and notably are the flagship models for their respective brands as now.

No questions, all three are good looking handsets with reasonable build quality. Lets go one by one in knowing their highlighting features that give it a compelling lead among the others.

Nokia Lumia 920

In General, the Nokia Lumia 920 was the first ever handset to go on sale in the USA- packed with Windows 8 Phone Operating System. The bulky device comes packed with Dual core 1.5 Giga hertz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 and sports sturdy look that is charming and is made of polycarbonate.

The 4.5inch IPS Panel PureMotion HD+ display has a pixel density of 332ppi and resolution power of 1280 x 768p with broad sunlight usage compatibility that makes it a niche product.

The wireless charging facility, pure view technology, Nokia City Lens and Nokia Maps should add-up for its bigger success though. As for the connectivity the phone has NFC, 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The Nokia Lumia 920 is priced RS. 38,199 in India.

Sony Xperia Z

Sony  is all geared up to be back in business with its ace model the Xperia Z. The device sports a slightly bigger display than the Lumia 920 measuring 5inch. The TFT screen has 1920 x 1080 resolution and 441 pixel density. Even though the specifications out-beat the Lumia 920, it badly misses out on broad sunlight viewing compatibility.

The device is of dust and water resistance design and puts on a sturdy and captivating look as well. The 1.5Ghz Quad Core S4 Snapdragon Processor is paired along with 2GB of RAM. The phone has got the 13MP camera that the manufacturer boasts of and is capable of recording HDR video through the Exmor RS sensor.

The Sony Xperia Z is loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead of the latest 4.2 update. The communication suite on the phone includes NFC, 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Blackberry Z10

Blackberry a long cherished name among business phone users lost much of its share to the competitors only by targeting on a small crowd. The new smartphone is targeted to reclaim its past market share and glory. The device comes in eye-catchy white on black or all-black design and is identical to leading Samsung models and Apple iPhone5. However, the difference becomes obvious when held closer.

The device measures 130mm x 65.6mm x 9mm and is considered bit chunky though. The 4.2-inch small screen has a resolution poweress of 1280×768 and has a lower pixel density of 355ppi.

The Blackberry Z10 uses a dual-core 1.5GHz Krait and is powered by its own brand new Operating System that enables multitasking capability without eatingup too much of the battery. One thing that the new model misses out, is on the Google Services. The connectivity features include NFC, 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
