Since the acquisition of Motorola by Google – Moto X is the first device announced by the smartphone maker. It is expected have features focusing on voice control, prolonged battery life and personalized designs.

The search engine giant had previously paid $12.5 billion for the handset maker in 2012. The Motorola Moto X is the new flagship device for the company and with this, Google aims to mark its presence in the smartphone world which is already ruled by titans namely Apple and Samsung.

According to company claims, “the device helps you get everyday tasks done quickly and with less fuss,”.“But it’s also designed to sip battery, not chug it, so it will go all day and into the night.”

As mentioned above, the prolonged battery life’s duration is said to be of 24 hours despite a microphone permanently listening for the words.

The Moto X will sport a 4.7” Super AMOLED that offers 720p resolution. The Moto X devices will be assembled in America, using a renovated Nokia facility.

The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor that has two Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.7GHz and a quad-core Adreno 320 GPU.

The device will have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 2,200mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

“Moto X is ready when you are. It responds to your voice – no touching necessary. With Touchless Control you can check the weather, get directions, or do just about anything without lifting a finger,” said Google.

Moto X will be available in the US, Canada and Latin America starting in late August/early September.

However, the UK and Asian launch details haven’t been planned yet!
