Micromax promised to launch 30 phones this year at the launch of Canvas HD  on valentines day. Living up to its promise; the indigenous handset manufacturer without any noise has unveiled its Ninja A91 model.

The model for now has debuted on a private e-commerce website however, it is not officially launched by Micromax!

The entry level model sports a 4.5inch TFT LCD display with 480 x 854 pixel. It is priced RS. 8,499 with the delivery time of three business days.

Basically, it is designed on Google’s open source Android platform. It is coming packed with Android Ice Cream and Sandwich. It is quite unsure to why, the manufacturer chose for an older version operating system.

To power the device, it is fitted with 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek processor paired with 512 MB of RAM. The device has a on-board storage space of 4GB that is expandable up to 32GB through microSD slot.

Connectivity options on Micromax Ninja A91 include WI-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth. It is a dual -SIM mobile that has a 5MP rear facing snapper. As for the front, a standard VGA camera is fitted that supports video calling.

The 1800mAh powerred battery is exopected to give a solid power backup as the device is only loaded with 512MB of RAM.

The phone is sold at a price tag of RS. 8,499 and is available on a private e-commerce site. By far, Micromax hasn’t made any official launch of its new model. If this is the trend, then it may go on sale on other ecommerce sites.

Being a budget friendly model, it is expected to take on other Android budget phones in the market head on head…
