The home-grown smartphone manufacturer Micromax has launched Bolt A61 smartphone which will compete against Nokia Asha 501, Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo and Galaxy Star in the market.

The compact and affordable smartphone comes 4-inch TFT screen 800x480p resolution power and 233ppi pixel density.

An average 1GHz processor with 256MB RAM powers the device.

It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. For storage, Micromax has an on-board space of 512MB but can be extended through microSD card up to 16GB.

The options for connectivity on the smartphone include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB.

A whopping 1,500mAh battery promised with talk time of 4 hours is packed in the back.

An average 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera adorns the smartphone.

Kingsoft Office, Hike, Spuul, Opera and MiLive are some of the pre-loaded apps that are found on the device.
