Kobian the computer peripheral manufacturer is launching 7-inch mTAB Lite phablet in India. Kobian operates under the name Mercury.

Mercury mTAB Lite phablet is rolling out in the Indian market under a budget friendly price tag of Rs 6,000.

The  mTAB Lite phablet sports a 7-inch screen, measures 12mm in thickness and weighs 320grams.

It is powered by Vimicro Cortex A8 processor clocking a speed of 1GHz. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The storage facility on the device offers 4GB on-board and also supports extendable memory through microSD card slot up-to 32GB.

The device has 512MB of RAM and for connectivity it has Wi-Fi, 2G, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 3.0.

The phablet is fitted with VGA resolution camera in the front and rear. For power it has 2,700mAh battery which is quite huge for the kind of specifications its rolling out with.

Speaking on the launch, country manager – Sushmita Das said, “We are glad to announce the launch of mTAB Lite – ultra slim phablet. Wide screen, dual cameras, sim for calling, powerful processor, OS that offers apps, games etc are the major features required in a tablet.”
