LG is getting ready to launch its LG Optimus G Pro model in India, after taking a small break. The latest LG handset competes against Samsung’s Galaxy Note II in the international market.

Notably, the phablet was announced in Feburary this year and launched in all major markets by April. The phone will hit the Indian shores by the coming month.

By bringing the phone to India LG aims in tapping the burgeoning smartphone market.

There are possibilities for LG Optimus G Pro’s launching along side Samsung’s June 20 event. At the event, Samsung is likely to disclose the details in regards to next range of phones for Indian market.

According to sources, there aren’t any chances of Note III announcements as the Samsung Note II is already performing well globally.

LG Optimus G Pro features a 5.5inch True Full HD IPS Plus LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution power of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Interestingly, the size of both the models match well and also are capable of delivering equal quality images.

The device runs on latest iteration of Android version Jelly Bean 4.2. By comparison, Samsung Note II  runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is upgradeable to Jelly Bean 4.2.

It is powered by Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 Snapdragon 600 processor backed by 2GB of RAM. The manufacturer is generously offering an internal storage space of 32GB and also a 64GB is expandable through the microSD slot.

The Pro has 13 MP rear end snapper with LED flash and 2.1 MP front camera for video calling and self portrait purpose. Camera features include geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization, panorama, HDR modes.

Last but not the least for power it has a solid 3140 mAh battery.  LG Optimus G Pro in many ways is a far better phone than the Samsung Galaxy Note II. In the Indian market pricing plays a key roll for the success of any device.
