Home grown handset and computer peripheral manufacturing company Intex is all set to launch its first smartphone with MediaTek’s octa-core processor.

Intex hasn’t shared any information on the availability and the pricing however, had said the eight cores of the processor will function simultaneously.

The phone has dual-SIM feature and will sport a 6-inch HD IPS display. It will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

An 1.7GHz octa-core processor paired to 2GB of RAM is packed under the hood. The smartphone comes in two variants namely 16GB and 32GB storage.

For connectivity, Intex GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device is 7mm thick with 2.6mm bezel and is fitted with Yamaha 1420 speakers and removable battery.

Other smartphone features include a 13MP camera in the rear and 5MP in the front.
