Chinese handset manufacturer Huawei launched its new model called Ascend Mate smartphone in India. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note II the handset sports a larger screen at 6.1 inch.

The Huawei Ascend Mate is launched under a price tag of RS. 24,900 which is slightly an expensive range to lure Indian buyers. However, with the kind of specfication it rolls out, the manufaturer is quite confident of taking the market by storm.

The 6.1inch screen has a display resolution of 1280x720p. The device features a quad-core processor that clocks 1.5GHz speed paired to 2GB of RAM.

It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI. For storage it has an onboard capacity of 8GB  and is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The handset is loaded with solid 4,050mAh battery that is capable of supporting the bigger screen and robust gaming actions.

According to the manufacturer claims, power control system boosts the battery life of the handset by 30% and the power will last up to 2 days on single charge. The battery can also be used as power pack for other smartphones.

The connectivity suite on Ascend Mate includes 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. For camera it is fitted with 8MP on the rear and a 1MP HD snapper decorating the front.

On the physical side, it weighs198gm and measures just 6.5mm along the waistline which is lot thinner than the iPhone 5.
