HTC launches Desire 601(nicknamed “Zara”) and Desire 300, two phones in the mid-range segment.

The HTC Desire 601 brings with it numerous features from both hardware and software of successful flagship model HTC One. It gets a new aluminum body instead of the plastic.

The mid range model Desire 601 sports a 4.5 inch qHD display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 that clocks a speed of 1.4GHz with Adreno 305 graphics paired to 1GB of RAM.

The device runs Android 4.2.2 “Jelly Bean,” with Sense 5 UI, Blinkfeed, and HTC Zoe. It is fitted with a 5MP primary camera in the rear which is is supported by a discrete HTC Image Chip and HTC Zoe for continuous shooting and object removal.

It has an built-in storage facility of 8GB and can be expanded upto 64GB through microSD card slot. For connectivity, apart from the regulars it supports latest 4G LTE option.

HTC Desire 300

The HTC Dedire 300 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz supported by 512MB of RAM powering the device.

The entry level model features a 4.3 WVGA display with full lamination aimed at easy reading and media viewing on the fly. It has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The in-built storage is 4GB and expansion is possible upto 64GB via the microSD card slot.

It runs Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5 and has blink feed.

The primary camera fitted on the device is a 5MP, with lighter optics than the ones on Desire 601. It uses a 1,650 mAh battery for power.

Both the devices are slated for the month of October this year and their pricing will be revealed anytime soon.
