HTC Desire 600 released few days back and LG Google Nexus 4 went out to the people almost a year ago. While the HTC Desire 600 is rolled out at Rs 25,500 price tag in the market, the LG Nexus 4 is also selling at the similar price range.

The clatter of smartphones kicks off due to the incorporated premium specs that are found in some of the leading handsets in the market with pleasingly placed mid-range price point.

Which of these is the best pick?

Well, to know better we would need to compare their features to find out!

Design

The HTC Desire 600 is available in two colors namely silver and black.

As usual the device puts on those premium looks that had attracted users across the globe over the years. The form factor is of candy bar shape with speaker grill occupying top and bottom of the handset. The device as such weighs 130 grams and is thick at 9.26 mm.

Most of us, by now have already seen the LG Google Nexus 4.

It is 9.1 mm thick weighing 139 grams, it sports a black stealth fascia and a big Nexus logo on the back. No questions, the overall appearance of the phone is good looking.

Display

Google Nexus 4 has a 4.7inch display with 1280 x 768 pixels resolution and 320 ppi ( pixel per inch). The display has a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

HTC Desire 600 has a 4.5inch display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 245 ppi.

With better specifications Google Nexus 4 leads the HTC Desire 600 on the display front.

Processor & Operating System

Under the hood, LG Google e Nexus 4 packs a Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 quad core processor along side Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

The HTC Desire 600 has 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM.

As for the operating system, both the devices come loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. However, when there is a software update roll out which is expected in the near time, it is LG Google Nexus 4 that will have it running first.

Storage

LG Google Nexus 4 has 16GB of on-board storage space with 12GB accessible to an user. There is no option for memory expansion.

HTC Desire 600 has 8GB storage capacity and further expansion up to 64GB is simply possible through microSD slot.

In terms of memory HTC Desire 600 is few steps ahead of its competitor.

Camera & Battery

Both the devices have an 8 MP rear camera. The Desire 600 has a 1.6 MP front camera against 1.3MP of Nexus 4. This can be considered as an advantage for Desire in terms of camera specs.

HTC Desire 600 features a 1860 mAh Li-Polymer battery and the LG Google Nexus 4 comes with 2100 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery.

Both claim of equal 11 hours of talk-time inspite of the talk-time difference.

Verdict

It is hard to pass the final verdict immediately. On the specifications front it is the LG Google Nexus 4 that slightly leading against its competitor.
