The HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 is a Windows 8 laptop with 14inch display and 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Similar to other Ultrabook models it is hefty and relatively thicker weighing 2.04gm. It is certainly not that heavy if you are used to Ultrabooks!

The touchscreen technology is not new to HP; but a traditional device to run on touch interface – Windows 8 OS is likely to elite the user experience for sure. The accuracy of the TouchSmart display is simply amazing. For users, who prefer resolution pixel greater than 1366 x 768, the Ultrabook 4 is not much of a disappointment, it offers bright color and contrast along with fine off-angle viewing.

The HP Envy TouchSmart screen is covered by a metal brushed aluminum along with a garnishing HP Logo on top. The sides are also neatly trimmed with silver. The bottom of the device is made-up of soft-touch rubber that is decorated in white. As a matter of fact , the overall design is decent and compelling!

As for the ports, it has a single USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0, full size HDMI, microSD slot and an Ethernet jack, all placed in the left side. On the right is the power socket, a single USB 2.0 port, 3.5mm jack for the head phone and microphone.

The HP True Vision HD Webcam is located at the standard place for laptop camera – above the display.  This device is aimed at consumers and not business, it coming packed with 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U and 4GB, 1,600MHz DDR3 memory.
