Celkon is all set to release two new smartphones by the end of this month. In-spite of the launch announcement by the manufacturer, no details in regards to the pricing of the devices have been disclosed so far.

The two devices that are ready for launch in the Indian market are Celkon A107 Signature One and Celkon C779. The latter model is dubbed as a feature phone.

The Celkon A107 is a phablet device that sports a 5-inch capacitive touch screen. It runs on Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

It uses a dual-core processor that clocks a speed of 1.2 GHz backed by 512 MB of RAM. The manufacturer is offering an on-board storage space of 512 MB. Expansion of memory is possible through microSD card slot.

As for the camera, it has an 8-megapixel primary camera and a VGA for video calling purpose as secondary. As mentioned above, the device is likely to hit the shelves before the end of this month.

The Celkon C779 can use a AAA battery for charge-up. The battery on the device is 1,800mAh and in case of an emergency a AAA battery can charge up the device for a limited period of time.

Celkon rolled out its A119 Q Signature HD Rs. 12,499 last week. The device’s speciality feature includes of broadcasting live videos.

According to Celkon, the videos can be watched live and will be offered for existing signature consumers. This is expected to happen after the launch of the handset.

The Celkon C779 has a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7, 5” HD display screen and runs on Android Jelly Bean. The rear of the device is fitted with 2. 12 megapixel while the front is getting a 3MP camera.

The handset is anticipated to roll out with pre-loaded apps that would give its owner with acces to 72 Indian news papers.
