Dec 07, 12 Casio Unveils iPhone friendly G-Shock

Have you ever imagined if your wrist watch could help track your misplaced cell phone, throw-up calls, get email alerts and sync time with your device? No surprise, the Casio G-Shock wrist watch can perform all such actions on your Apple iPhone 4S and later models. Simply put, the new line of iPhone friendly G-Shock models will connect and share data.

Casio had been a longtime player in the electronic devices arena and is well remembered for the innovations; now it is spear-headed in to the smart-watches segment. The G-Shock smart-watches look regular until you witness what out of box actions they can perform!

The G-Shock uses the Bluetooth 4.0 to connect with the device and is powered by standard button type battery cell that can run for two years as claimed by the manufacturer. This is subjected to 12 hours of phone and watch connection on a daily basis, if the duration extends it can shorten the battery span. Over the top, the wireless connection between the watch and phone can be connected or suspended through a automatic feature.

Speaking at the press release, Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of Casio’s Timepiece Division said “G-Shock continues to be a leader in cutting-edge technology for timepieces”. “With the release of the Bluetooth LE Smart Watch collection, we are pushing the boundaries of inspired timepieces for the business savvy, technology conscious consumer.”

The Casio G-Shock is rolling out at a price tag of $180 working approximately to RS. 10,000 and will be available at limited outlets only. Grabmore will have it available for its customers from the USA!
