Asus a name well-recognized for mother-boards and other electronic peripherals on Wednesday released world’s first ever dual OS supporting tablet priced between Rs. 87,000 and Rs. 1.07 lakh in India.

The dual operating system on the device includes Windows 8 and Android 4.1 which is quite a stunner. It has a detachable display that can also be used as a standalone tablet around the home, the company sources said.

Vinay Shetty, Country Head of ASUS India said, “With the introduction of new product, we are creating a new segment or in other words all-in-one product. Our efforts are to grow this new segment by coming out with innovative products and which gel with the consumers’ demand.”

The tablet is targeted at top level corporate executives said Mr. Shetty.

The Asus  Transformer AiO PC was first introduced in to the US, Japan and Australia market, there it has already scored some good remarks from users of various segment. It was launched in last October.

The tablet as such comes with desktop PC station with a third generation Intel Core desktop processor for Windows 8 performance.

The display measures 18.4-inch diagonal and has its own NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor for use as a self- contained tablet with Android 4.1. The Windows 8 is goverened by a third generation Intel Core desktop processor.
