Asus Fone Pad was launched in the mobile conference in February this year. The FonePad finally gets released in India for RS. 15,999. As matter of fact, it has already been launched in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The device is a 7inch tablet that incorporates 3G mobile data with uninterrupted telephony support.  Asus’s move to launch the 7-inch FonePad sprouts from the growing popularity for its products among tech savvy Indian crowd.

The 7inch WXGA LED Backlight IPS panel display has 10 finger multi-touch. It also has a resolution power of 1280×800 pixels. It uses an Intel Atom Z2420 processor with 1.2GHz CPU speed paired with 1GB of RAM and runs on latest iteration of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

The manufacturer had fitted a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera and 3.15-megapixel rear camera in the device. The tablet supports 1080p videos.

For power it has a solid 4,270-mAh battery that supports robust gaming actions. The device rolls out with 8GB and 16GB on-board memory storage variants.

Earlier this month Asus had officially released Google Nexus 7 in India. As the name suggests, the seven inch Nexus 7 uses a NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and  runs on Jellybean OS.
