Amazon is bringing in the new Kindle Fire HDX a reviving tablet in its line which also sets claims to be more compact, easy to hold and substantially faster.

The Kindle Generation tablets come sporting a new feature called ‘Mayday’. The feature ables an user to get a live customer service representative in a tiny video window. The helpers will troubleshoot and explain new features.

One of the key improvement includes the 7 inch and 8.9 inch devices getting more colorful and sharper displays compared to the previous versions.

The latest models are ready for upgrades in numerous ways but that doesn’t end the thrill. A wallet friendly pricing opted by the Amazon folks is like cream on the cake.

It packs with it the Amazon’s massive cloud computing and customer service infrastructure.

The entry level 7inch tab with 8 GB is priced to $139 from a $199 version that had 16 GB of memory.

The Kindle Fire HD has a close-fitting cover of a new magnesium alloy body similar to that of HDX models, but has the same screen resolution and processing power of the older model.

The price cut of the Kindle Fire HD is expected to get some amazing sales figures for Amazon in the tablet segment.

According to NPD, during the months of May and July period 17% of tablets sold in the U.S accounted to Amazon Kindles.

Global shipments in the April-June quarter were down 59% from a year earlier at 470,000, NPD said.

The latest Kindles come with Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor gearing up to meet the challenges. This means the devices can perform well on multi apps functioning as well and are notably three times faster the older ones.

When it comes to graphics functions, the HDX models are four times faster than before.

Apart from these, the new device incorporates data from its IMDb movie database subsidiary. The “X-ray” feature on new devices will open a small window listing the name of a song that is playing in some TV shows and movies.

A single tap allows an user to own it by buying.

Amazon’s video player app connected to Internet TVs or Game Consoles allows users to follow real-time on their tablets. This app feature works upon successful setup by an user.

As for music lovers they will be able to view song lyrics when they play songs purchased from Amazon.

The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDX starts approximately at Rs. 24,000 for 8 GB of memory, while the 7-inch starts at approximately Rs. 15,000 also with 8 GB.

Pre-orders start from Wednesday.  The 7-inch will ship Oct. 18, while the 8.9-inch will ship starting Nov. 7.
