Acer on wednessday announced Liquid E2 smartphone. The new model rolls out as successor to Liquid E1 and will be the new flagship device of the brand.

The Liquid E2 sports a 4.5-inch qHD display and is powered by a Quad-Core processor clocking 1.2GHz speed. It comes packing dual speakers with DTS sound and a dual-SIM option.

The device runs on Google latest mobile OS iteration the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It is fitted with a decent 8MP camera in the rear that has LED Flash and BSI sensor. The front has a 2MP camera that supports video calling.

As per the manufacturer claims, users can shoot 8 pictures per second on the continuous shooting mode. This is an upgrade compared to the previous Liquid E1 that has 5 MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera.

Acer offers the Liquid E2 user with 4GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable to 32GB via microSD slot. The quad processor is paired to 1GB of RAM.

For power the device has a solid 2000mAh battery. Acer claims that the battery is capable of delivering talk time of 9 hours and standby time of up to 450 hours. Acer‘s own DTS-ready video and music apps are preloaded on the device.

Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, followed by Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and Russia are the countries that would first get the phone from mid-May at a suggested price of 229 Euros. As of now, there aren’t any inputs to India launch are pricing.
